Peptide synthesis introduction

Peptide synthesis is a repetitive process of adding amino acids, solid-phase synthesis order from c-Terminal (c-Terminal) to the n-Terminal (n-Terminal) synthesis. Peptide synthesis is carried out in the solution of the past known as the liquid-phase synthesis method. From 1963 Merrifield development successfully since solid-phase peptide synthesis, through continuous improvement and perfection, to today's solid-phase peptide and protein synthesis in a common technique, showing classic incomparable advantages by liquid-phase synthesis, which greatly mitigates the difficulty every step of the purification of the product. Peptide synthesis in general are divided into two types: solid-phase synthesis and liquid-phase peptide synthesis.
